23APR2018 - JOB - Accounting Assistant (Houston) - Dan-Bunkering

Dan-Bunkering is now looking for a skilled candidate to assist in administration and accounting. You will support in all areas of accounting which requires a service-minded and structured approach towards all stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be responsible for several tasks within the office infrastructure and undertake daily operational tasks within administration. You will report to the Financial Controller in our Houston office.

Your tasks
The office environment can be described as dynamic, fast-paced and expanding, thus the perfect candidate will manage day-to-day tasks around the office and work closely with the rest of the accounts team to uphold a high level of service and efficiency in the accounts department and maintain the office facility in general.

Your tasks will among others be:

• Responsible for accounting and bookkeeping activities
• Assist with sales invoicing and archiving
• Assist with monthly reporting and annual accounts, follow-up on accounts and costs, follow-up on AR and AP
• Reconcile bank and other sub ledgers (AP, AR and fixed assets)
• Manage incoming mail to our general inbox
• Maintaining an orderly filing system
• Purchasing supplies and equipment as authorized by management
• Monitoring office supply levels and reorder as necessary
• Ad hoc tasks e.g. booking of hotels and flights for the trading team, ordering business cards, supporting event planning etc.

Your profile

• You are bright and service-minded. You work independently and responsibly. You have a can-do attitude and are comfortable with not knowing what your day is going to bring. Proficiency in English is a requirement, as you thrive working in an international environment. In addition, you have:
• Relevant degree in Accounting and Bookkeeping
• Experience within an international business environment
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV)
• A hands-on, service minded, flexible, energetic, structured, disciplined and global mindset
