Job description:

• Strong expertise of shipping market
• Good relationship with charterer/broker
• Good interpersonal and communication expertise

Key responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Manage Oil Tankers company’s Chartering and Operation Department
• Monitor market freight rates movement, provide regular evaluation and market analysis
• Negotiate charter party and contract terms
• Coordinate with technical and safety department for cargoes stowage/handling
• Evaluation vessel performance for cargoes delivery, bunker consumption after each voyage and recommend improvement plan
• Maintain close relationship with Charterer/Broker
• Take lead in cargo disputes, demurrages, Customer’s complaint
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports to Management expertise Required:
• Minimum 5 years in Chartering position, manager function will be add advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication expertise
• Good command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written to contact with Mandarin speaking associates
• Able to work in result demanding environment
• Able to positively respond to challenges and ad hoc request
• Able to work independently but also a good team player
• Flexibility to adjust work scope and multi-tasking
• Taking ownership and accountcapability for charter party and contract negotiation

• Strong related academic credentials
• At least 10 years or more in shipping industry
