24JUL2018 - NEWS - Dutch ship building company Damen Shipyards Group completes acquisition of the stake in Mangalia shipyard in Romania

Dutch ship building company Damen Shipyards Group has recently completed the acquisition of the stake in Mangalia shipyard in Romania from Korean shipbuilding giant Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME). Damen Shipyards Group now owns 51% of the shares in the yard and it will be formerly known as Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries (DMHI). Founded during 1927, Damen Group is headquartered at Gorinchem, Netherlands.
