Hambantota International Port Group (Private) Limited is a joint venture formed between China Merchants and Sri Lanka Ports Authority for the development of the Hambantota port. According to one of the representatives of this joint venture, the group now eyes to develop the bunkering business for the global shipping lines at the Hambantota port.
