26DEC2018 - NEWS - Silk Road Marine launched recently in Xiamen to attract companies in the logistics and shipping supply chain around the world

China Cosco Shipping Group, Xiamen Port Group and Fujian Provincial Communication Transportation Group have recently jointly launched Silk Road Marine in Xiamen. The new company will be the operating platform for Silk Road Marine Alliance, which plans to attract member companies in the logistics and shipping supply chain around the world to forge an integrated logistics alliance to promote China’s Belt and Road initiative. The alliance will open 16 shipping routes before the end of June 2019 for phase one operations, and plans to expand the coverage of the alliance to more international ports and build a comprehensive intermodal transport network before end of 2020.
