26JAN2018 - NEWS - Mexico to auction oil blocks for deepwater offshore exploration

Crude oil production of Mexico had a falling trend since last almost 10 years. Mexico has opened its energy sector for private investment to boost the production. The crude oil production of local major (Pemex , Mexico) dropped last year. 

Mexico is going to hold auction (dated 31st Jan ) for deepwater (offshore) oil blocks in which global major players such as Chevron, ExxonMobil, BP, Shell, Statoil, Total, Eni, Hess, Inpex, Pemex, Repsol, and China Offshore Oil Corporation have been pre qualified to for participation.
