27DEC2018 - NEWS - Monaco based company GasLog places order for the contruction of two LNG carriers at Samsung Heavy Industries

Monaco based gas carrier operator GasLog has recently placed an order at South Korean yard Samsung Heavy Industries for the construction of two 174,000 cu m LNG carriers. The order comes after Cheniere Marketing International exercised its option for two new charter agreements, each for a firm period of seven years. The agreements follow Gaslog signing two seven-year charter agreements with Cheniere in August and ordering a pair of 174,000 cu m LNG carriers at the yard. Delivery of the first two vessels are scheduled in late 2020.
