The company. 
Faststream are working with a leading ship operator to recruit for a Chartering Manager to join their growing team in Geneva. 

The role. 
You will come from a chartering background with experience of the dry cargo industry, ideally within the Supramax/Karmsamax sizes. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Negotiating and booking of cargoes and contracts 
• Knowledge of fixing vessels on both voyage and time charter. 
• Making commercial decisions and negotiations. 

This position will involve travel and business development in order to build customer relationships, which are vital for building a strong desk. 

The person. 
This is an opportunity for a highly driven, goal orientated individual with a proven track record in chartering, to work in a fast paced office. The ideal candidate will be an experienced charterer, who has come from the owning/operating background. You will have a strong background and network of booking cargoes, ideally within the North America and Continent trading areas.
