You will be part of a young, dynamic international supply, trading and refining team where you will report into the Supply Director. This position provides you with the opportunity to optimise a sophisticated supply system and therefore become part of VARO Energy’s success.

The position

Your main focus will be the supply planning and optimization process for all terminal locations in Germany for gasoline, diesel and heating oil. This position is a key function within the supply team where you will coordinate the demand and supply patterns for each terminal in close cooperation with the marketing, refining and operations teams. This position will give you an excellent understanding of major oil flows in Europe’s biggest and most important market.

Your Key Responsibilities

Act as the focal point for the supply & demand balance and provide the yearly, monthly and weekly supply and demand picture

• Setup of the monthly supply plan and strategy. Provide critical input for the optimization meetings
• Input to the daily optimization committee for prompt supply and commercial decision making
• Evaluate supply options in close cooperation with the Supply Trader and Group Strategic Accounts Manager
• Take over responsibility for gathering all demand data by terminal from marketing, supply and exchange partners
• Be responsible for monthly nominations from and to supply and exchange partners and act as Key interface between the marketing, operations, refining and commercial trading teams

Your Profile

• Bachelor degree or equivalent
• Minimum two years relevant working experience in the oil industry preferred
• Ideally a good understanding of the German oil market with regards to logistics and prices
• Understanding of various pricing options

• Good numerical skills and very good knowledge of Excel
