28MAR2018 - NEWS - Diana Shipping Inc. announced Time Charter Contract for m/v Aliki with SwissMarine on 27 Mar 2018

A global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, Diana Shipping Inc. announced yesterday, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with SwissMarine Services S.A., Geneva, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v Aliki. The gross charter rate is US$18,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum twenty (20) months to maximum twenty-two (22) months. The charter is expected to commence on April 4, 2018. The m/v Aliki is currently chartered, as previously announced, at a gross charter rate of US$10,300 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties.
The “Aliki” is a 180,235 dwt Capesize dry bulk vessel built in 2005.
This employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$10.8 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
