Roles & Responsibilities

  • To negotiate deals and charter parties to suitably employ our vessels either directly with clients or through brokers in the most commercially efficient manner
  • To have the ability to operate on spot market cargos profitably
  • To have ability to analyse and conclude COAs that complement company existing business
  • To liaise with other departments (ops / insurance / postfix) to ensure vessels and business run smoothly
  • To build relationships with existing and potential clients
  • To gather market intelligence and benchmarks 
  • To study / understand new trades and ports

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years chartering experience in dry bulk chartering
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Outgoing and genuine enjoyment for building relationships with people / clients
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated
  • Business Minded
  • Parcelling / Minor bulk experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
