Roles & Responsibilities
- To negotiate deals and charter parties to suitably employ our vessels either directly with clients or through brokers in the most commercially efficient manner
- To have the ability to operate on spot market cargos profitably
- To have ability to analyse and conclude COAs that complement company existing business
- To liaise with other departments (ops / insurance / postfix) to ensure vessels and business run smoothly
- To build relationships with existing and potential clients
- To gather market intelligence and benchmarks
- To study / understand new trades and ports
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years chartering experience in dry bulk chartering
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Outgoing and genuine enjoyment for building relationships with people / clients
- Team player
- Self-motivated
- Business Minded
- Parcelling / Minor bulk experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
