29JUL2019 - NEWS - JGC Corp, McDermott, Technip FMC win Oman Oil-Orpic's Feed deal

Oman Oil and Orpic Group announced that Japan's JGC Corporation have been picked to deliver front-end engineering design (Feed) services for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering project's construction and commissioning at Sohar Port, located 200km west of Muscat. JGC is the London office of American firm McDermott, and the French office of Technip FMC. Total E&P Oman will co-develop the plant alongside Oman Oil, and operate it as well, after agreements were signed with Oman's Ministry of Oil and Gas in February 2019.This project will have an annual LNG production capacity of one million tons.
