Offshore Technical Superintendent
A great opportunity for an experienced Chief Engineer to join a well-established offshore vessel owner. In the role of Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for all technical related issues of an assigned group of vessels. This person will plan for port state control and vetting inspections, communicate with the Ops group on day to day matters, and all scheduled dry dockings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and report the technical conditions and operational expenses for an assigned group of vessels in the fleet.
• Responsible for technical-related unplanned off hires, port state control and class inspections.
• Furthermore, you maintain communication with the Operations Department on day-to-day matters in respect of voyage operations.
• Schedule and supervise planned and unplanned repairs, inspections and dry dockings.
• Responsible for the class status of the vessel and for arranging surveys.

Qualifications:

• Higher Nautical or Technical Education diploma.
• Extensive experience as Chief Engineer, experience in ship repair/ship management.
• Experience of offshore standby/supply vessels would be a distinct advantage
• You will have strong planning and organisational skills, are willing to travel frequently and able to work under pressure.
• Good verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English are essential.
