JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate and conclude charter party terms with owners.
• Manage commercial and operation activities such as demurrage, laytime, title transfers, all key contract terms, vessel’s movement and cargo operations.
• Network and maintain relationship with market players i.e. ship owners, brokers to keep abreast of market developments.
• Gather market information and acquire freight knowledge to support front line business units in pursuing business opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or related field from a recognised university.
• Candidates with 3-5 years of working experience in shipping industry, supply operations or oil tanker chartering.
• Good knowledge of oil tanker chartering contract terms, relevant experience in chartering a fleet of oil tankers ranging from MR to VLCC for both clean and dirty products.
• Able to work Independently and responsible.
• Must possess problem solving skills and able to work well under pressure.
• Able to be contactable, managing after office hour work matters liaising with multiple parties. 
• Bilingual in Chinese and English as this role needs to negotiate with Chinese associates.
