31MAY2018 - JOB - Technical Superintendent (Dry Bulk) - Singapore

Our Client is an international ship owner.  Due to business expansion they are currently looking to hire an experienced Technical Superintendent to manage their dry bulk vessels.

In this position you will be responsible for the performance and management of a group of dry bulk vessels.  Responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for shipboard performance of assigned vessels – safety, technical, fuel efficiency, maintenance etc
• Manage the top 2 on board each assigned vessel
• Coordinate colleagues in purchasing, crewing, HSEQ to ensure performance of fleet
• Manage vetting and class certifications to ensure compliance
• Prepare and manage budgets for assigned vessels

The ideal person for this role will be able to demonstrate:

• Previous shore based experience managing large cargo ships – likely to have at least 3 years relevant experience
• Chief Engineer / Master Mariner / Naval Architect
• Strong commercial understanding
• Excellent communication skills
