The primary responsibility of the VP of Physical Supply Development is leading all global initiatives to grow WFS’ physical presence within the Marine Segment. This role will work closely with the EVP of Aviation and Marine, the Marine Leadership Team (MLT) and Marine Commercial teams in the formulation and execution of global Physical Supply strategy.
Experience:
Ideal candidate should have minimum of 10-15 years in petroleum markets with worldwide experience.
Business development background/trading background/operations background – or a combination is preferred.
Candidate is preferred to have some experience in residual / bunker markets and cross commodity (i.e. diesel/jet etc...) a plus.
Very keen financial sense. Experience managing and holding PNL responsibility for accounted projects.
Very strong Project Management skills.
Candidate must be willing to interact and thrive in a team environment (customer/supply/trading/finance/tax business partners), yet be very entrepreneurial and have a self-starter mind-set.
Candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills and be able to utilize commonly used tools (i.e. MS Excel, Power Point, etc.) towards the successful output of the role.
Strong communication ability with all levels; must have good presentation skills and have ability to develop/maintain strong business relationship with all parties.
Proven track record of professional excellence. Leadership presence and management skills.
Must be willing /able to travel worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Drive formulation of short and long-term physical supply strategy working closely with the Marine Global Supply SVP and the MLT.
Understand key supply dynamics and locations in order to identify and prioritize most impactful development opportunities towards the expansion of WFS’ physical presence on a worldwide basis.
Search, investigate and analyze development opportunities to provide full and concrete project plan recommendations to the Segment’s leadership team. This includes the development of a PNL for identified projects / locations, for which this role holds full accountability.
Structure implementation plans and serve as primary project manager on Physical Supply initiatives. Convert opportunities into appropriately structured agreements; work with support functions to help develop terms and conditions to conduct activity.
Oversee the full execution and successful implementation of Physical Supply initiatives and projects on a world-wide basis.
Identify and create business relationships with potential counterparties: participate in local / industry events as relevant to the core nature of the role.
Other projects / activities / tasks as assigned by the EVP and MLT.
