Thenamaris LNG invites high caliber professionals with the requested qualifications outlined below, to apply for the position of Marine Superintendent.

Role Description

The Marine Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the LPG fleet complies with company procedures and statutory regulations; duties include vessel attendance to perform third party inspection preparation and close-out of corresponding observations as well as analysis of associated trends. The role will regularly report on company vessels with specific reference to navigational, cargo and marine related issues; on board audits related to ISM, ISO, ISPS and OHSAS standards as well as incident investigation on navigational, cargo and marine related incidents are also key responsibilities of the role.

Education, Knowledge & Experience

• Previous sailing experience as Master on-board LPG; proven knowledge of LPG vessel operations and equipment is required.
• Previous experience in an office role with duties of an LPG Marine Superintendent will be a strong asset although not a prerequisite. Superintendents with sailing experience as Master on board Tanker or LNG vessels may also be considered.
• Additional Academic Qualifications in any shipping related field will be considered an advantage
• Excellent command of the English language, both in writing and orally
• Familiarity with IT systems
• The successful candidate should also be flexible to travel.
