09OCT2017 - JOB - Head of Bunker Operations - Maersk Oil Trading

Key Responsibilities

• As Head of the Bunker Operations Desk, you will play a key role in the continuous delivery of high quality bunkering operations to all our stakeholders. Your area of responsibility will be comprehensive and among other things include:
• Leading our bunker operations desk
• Managing our overall bunker supplier evaluation process which includes but not limited to quality, quantity and other bunker operations related performance metrics
• Identifying and resolving all bunker operations related issues
• Initiating and managing all bunker operations related continuous improvement projects
• Managing our BOPS team which includes monitoring and documenting all deviations as part of its continuous improvement process.

Who we are looking for
You hold a Master degree within Operation/Engineering/Management/Marine/Economics or equivalent education combined with at least more than 6 years of experience from a large international shipping or bunkering company. You instinctively represent the values of the A.P. Moller Maersk group and in your day-to-day work, you inspire confidence and you are a reliable and valued collaboration partner for colleagues and business partners. You possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and you are capable of combining an eye for detail with a holistic overview. You shall also fulfil the following criteria:

• Knowledgeable in marine industry especially bunkering related matters, including but not limited to quantity, quality and operational issues. Having a commercial perspective will be an advantage. 
• Preferably knowledgeable in operations research and linear programming (BOPS), and its application in the bunkering industry
• Have the ability to lead and manage a diverse team 
• You are a self-starter and able to self-motivate and is able to identify and resolve problems independently. Moreover, you are able to manage both routine and non-routine daily workflow. 
• Possesses the ability to work across different functions within MOT and with our various stakeholders.
• You communicate clearly and concisely through verbal and in writing, and manage our stakeholder relationships. 
• Finally, you use the data collected / trends observed to come up with proposals for continuous improvements projects.
