Job Title: Chinese Crude Oil Operator, UK

Role: Operations & Logistics

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Responsible for good relationship with shipping department to ensure operations run efficiently and cost effectively;
• Liaise with head office in China regarding customs clearance;
• Communicate with related teams for all operational activities such as vessel clearance, appointing mutual inspectors, contracts, documentary instruction, payments, calculating prices and settling invoices;
• Negotiate and process claims for damages/incidents incurred during cargo delivery (e.g. demurrage) in accordance with sales/purchase contracts;
• Report into the Head of Operations in the UK;

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Must be able to speak Mandarin or have experience in working for a Chinese owned company;
• 5+ years’ experience in physical crude oil operations;
• Experienced in assisting trade finance department with preparation of letters of credit and handling claims on S&P contracts;
• Familiar with cargo insurance coverage and handling of insurance claims;
• Located in the UK or happy to relocate;
