Karachi based Pakistani state owned multinational petroleum corporation Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has suspended imports of fuel oil. The sales of fuel oil by PSO were down 9.4 percent in the third quarter of this year from the same period last year while its LNG sales grew by nearly 50 percent due to higher utilization of LNG in the power sector. This year, PSO imported about 400,000 to 650,000 tonnes of fuel oil a month, on average.
