Overall purpose and areas of focus:

LQM Petroleum Services, LLC, is one of the largest international marine fuel oil brokers. With over 35 years of experience and worldwide resources, we are well positioned to meet the wide-ranging needs of buyers and sellers alike—anywhere, at any time…LQM, is looking for a talented Bunker Broker to develop our business and take on and build and maintain a book of business. This is a sales position based out of San Antonio, Texas.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Primary Responsibilities
• Direct solicitation of ship owners, and charterers for marine fuel requirements
• Build, and maintain a book of business using good salesmanship and customer service
• Consistently uses market information, resources, and corporate training to increase business acumen
• Works well with others in the office and outside the office

Secondary Responsibilities

• Works with management on long term projects
• Can identify credit risks on own book of business
• Attends industry and company events
• Qualifications and Skills

Requirements

• BA or BS in maritime, shipping, international trade, business, or a related discipline is required
• Minimum of 5 years of customer facing sales experience in a related industry is required
• Able to solicit topline account requirements and service needs
• Fluency in a 2nd language is generally preferred
• Regularly willing to meet, entertain, and travel to meet suppliers and customers outside of normal business hours is required
• CRM experience is preferred
