04JAN2018 - NEWS - WTI-Brent spread increases in the end of 2017

During the last week of Dec 2017 the oil prices rose to the highest levels. The average price of both West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil and the Brent crude oil in 2017 were higher as compared to the values in the previous year. This resulted in the widening the WTI-Brent spread to $5/bbl at the end of the year which is the largest margin since 2013.
