Requirements

• Degree in Shipping / Logistics / Maritime Studies, Commerce and other relevant
• Minimum 5 years of chartering experience
• Possess problem solving skills
• Possess good business and numerical acumen with leadership & communication skills
• Possess strong strategic abilities and a wide network of contacts
• Results-oriented and performance driven

Responsibilities :

• Involve with the chartering and operations of Dry Bulk vessels mainly Handymax and Supramax vessels.
• Responsible for all aspects of vessel chartering activities, ensure profitable employment of managed/operated vessels, time charter-in tonnage.
• Calculate voyage estimates and assist with budgeting and preparation of commercial tenders.
• Monitor market conditions and rates for the industry through all appropriate means.
• Co-ordinate with agency and operations on all aspects of joint projects and initiate any enhancements that will enhance customers’ satisfaction.     
• Negotiating Chartering party terms.
• Working closely with surveyors to ensure smooth checking of inspection.
• Calculation of laytime and settling demurrage and insurance for shipments handled.
• Managing and overseeing day-to-day Bulk operations of chartered vessels.
• Closely coordinating with internal & clients’ technical & accounting teams.
• Preparation of charter parties.
