02MAY2018 - NEWS - Drilling stopped by Suncor's Transocean Barents rig during last week due to spill of drilling fluid

During last week on Friday about 28,000 litres of synthetic based mud spilled from the Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU). Due to this drilling operations has been halted at the Suncor Energy-operated Terra Nova Field located approximately 350 km southeast of St. John’s. Production from Terra Nova Field was started during 2002.
