03JUL2018 - NEWS - Port of Rotterdam launches new pilot project for paperless bunkering

The port of Rotterdam has recently launched a new pilot project to have paperless bunkering operation at the port. The launch of this new app will allow customers to submit their bunkering announcements digitally. Till now the bunkering notifications are made over Very High Frequency (VHF) radio and the details are than entered into vaiours systems manually. This new app will remove the need of Very High Frequency (VHF) radio announcement and the manual input of data. This new app will be less prone to human errors. Rotterdam port Authority has launched this pilot project in collaboration with VT Group, Unibarge, Titan LNG, FTS Hoftrans and Transnational Blenders.
