14JAN2019 - NEWS - Savage Inland Marine subsidiary of Savage Services expands its ship bunkering operations by acquiring assets of Progressive Barge Line

Savage Services is expanding its ship bunkering, barge and towage operations on the US Gulf coast by purchasing assets from a rival. Savage Inland Marine which is a subsidiary of Savage Services, has recently acquired assets of Progressive Barge Line, which was one of the largest bunkering and tank barge operators in Louisiana, in the US. This purchase included acquiring seven towboats with total power ranging 1,200-1,800 kW, plus 12 petroleum transportation barges, with a capacity range of 11,000-30,000 barrels. Savage has also bought warehouse and office facilities in New Orleans, Louisiana.
