Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct long term/short term/ spot charters for the Companies Dry Bulk freight activities in line with company's process & procedure
• Responsible for reviewing all Charter Party contracts pre- and post-fixture
• Coordinate with charterers for finalisation of yearly /quarterly shipment schedules.
• Negotiate and achieve freight targets with counterparties.
• Work with the Sr. Management to initiate proposals for chartering of vessels on Short Term and/or Long term basis for the customer.
• Market Research and analysis – Maintain database of the Shipping Market and Maritime industry; analyse and present trends to the Management on monthly basis.
• Responsible for the weekly and monthly operational reviews.
• Work on special projects wrt profit optimizations initiatives, vessel acquisitions etc.
• Responsible for securing a comprehensive insurance coverage for the vessels and coordinating with the brokers in case of claims and settlement.
• This is not an exhaustive list; additional responsibilities may be allocated as per the needs of the company.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess Degree / Masters in logistics / freight management.
• A proven track record with relevant experiences in dry bulk chartering.
• Be able to work as part of a multicultural team located in different geographies and time zones;
• Fluency in English and good communication skills are essential.
• High fluency in MS Excel, Power point etc
