08APR2019 - NEWS - Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and Fujitsu jointly tested AI Ship Collision risk Prediction Technology

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA Singapore) and Japanese information and communication technology (ICT) company Fujitsu have recently concluded a field trial in analyzing marine traffic risks in the Singapore Strait. During the trial, Fujitsu has demonstrated a ship collision risk prediction technology that leverages the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in predicting near misses between vessels. In addition, the solution can predict areas where collision risks are concentrated as dynamic risk hotspots.
