ABOUT US: 
Since our inception in 2006, Norvic Shipping has grown to be a leading North American operator of Dry Bulk & Tanker vessels worldwide. We operate a fleet of 80 to 100 vessels at any given time. In order to expand and our ability to meet our global customer demand we have established our offices in Toronto, New York, Houston, San Francisco, Copenhagen,  Dubai, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Singapore.    
       
We are now in the process of finding an Operations Manager to join the team in our Dubai, UAE office. 
  
Job Requirements: 
Responsible for performing all day to day operational activities of vessels from delivery until redelivery, including finalization of accounts with owners and charters after redelivery. 
Must have a good understanding of the time/voyage Charter Parties with strong attention to details in order to ensure effective and efficient execution of the voyage. 
Responsible for preparation of voyage orders / sailing instructions, agency appointments and monitoring of vessel’s performance. 
Co-ordinate with bunker team for the procurement of bunkers. 
Co-ordinate with all concerned parties for smooth operations and seamless execution of voyage. 
Update IMOS on a daily basis to be accurate and reliable. 
Alert and coordinate with the chartering team in the case of any deviation from the agreed terms 
Closely monitor Voyage PnL. 
  
Skills / Experience: 
Minimum of  5 years of experience within the shipping industry. Shore side and in an owners/operators desk is preferred. 
Dry Bulk experience and experience with IMOS is desired, but not a prerequisite. 
Ability to multi task in a fast pace work environment. 
Flexibility to, potentially, work nights and weekends, as required. 
Proactive and eager to be part of a dynamic and growing company. 
All other task as assigned.
