Petrobras Bunker's Announcement

From 1 January 2020 onwards, the new sulphur limit worldcap approved by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) will be being enforced establishing that ships must use marine fuels containing no more than 0.5% m/m of sulphur content. As you are aware, this will imply in a fundamental shift in the global marine fuels market. Therefore, Petrobras will be running some tests from June 2019 to prepare the refineries to comply with that new worldcap and due to this fact, during the period of tests, the marine fuels to be offered in the Port of Santos most likely will contain a lower viscosity.

Please note that although we guarantee the ISO 8217:2010, being a period of tests, we are not able to know precisely the viscosity of the products beforehand to be offered. 

Besides, Petrobras informs as well that from 01 June 2019 onwards, it will be being discontinued the sales of RMK500 in the port of Santos.
