Job description 
Peninsula Petroleum is a leading integrated marine fuels supplier with a global presence. We are seeking a BI Developer to join our team in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have experience in SQL and Data Warehousing & Reporting will be responsible for constantly monitoring our databases and immediately addressing database issues and problems. The successful candidate will also submit reports to management that outline the changing data needs of the company and come up with related solutions. 
  
Main Duties and Responsibilities: 
Develop and maintain ETL Packages using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2/2014 Integration Services. 
Develop Reports using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2/2014 Reporting Services. 
Develop SQL Procedures/Functions. 
Design, Develop and Implement technical solutions based on business requirements. 
Database performance tuning including TSQL / Procedural performance tuning (Optimizer and Index usage) 
Responsible for middleware design, monitoring and maintenance Database documentation 
Perform analytical testing and investigative work 
Proposing system improvements

Professional Qualifications: 
Approx 2 Years experience with all aspects of MS Reporting Services, including setup, security, deployment and complex report development using Business Intelligence Development Studio. 
  1- 2 Years ETL experience with SSIS 
Experience working with large complex SQL Server Databases. 
Data Modelling 
Relational Database Design 
Database Application Development and Database performance tuning 
Microsoft - SQL Server / Transact SQL Server / Data Warehousing & Reporting 
Development of OLAP cubes using SSAS 
Report development in excel, tableau 
Microsoft Certified in Business Intelligence will be added advantage. 
Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems Design or equivalent 
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills with good attention to detail
