20AUG2019 - NEWS - Jumbo, GoodFuels to test marine bio-fuel oil on decommissioning project

Heavy lift shipping and offshore transportation and installation contractor Jumbo will work with marine biofuel company GoodFuels on a project to test marine bio-fuel oil. The joint initiative, which will be trialled on an offshore decommissioning project, paves the way for a transition from fossil fuels to renewables in the offshore support sector. The decommissioning project will remove infrastructure used to produce fossil fuels, while simultaneously accelerating the energy transition through the use of bio-fuel oil. The collaboration follows the completion of two successful deliveries of sustainable drop-in bio-fuel oil by GoodFuels in the shipping sector – one to Danish bulk carrier Norden, and the second to French container line CMA-CGM.
